ABOUT
Sophia & El Kronox are Argentine Tango dancers based in Ann Arbor, MI. They have been dancing together since 2015. They have performed together at the Detroit Dance City Festival, Detroit Dance Race, Argentine Tango Detroit, City Style Tango, the University of Michigan, as well as many other venues throughout the Metro Detroit Area.
José Luis Fernández-Garcia
José was born and raised in Málaga, Spain. He came to the United States in 1998 and started teaching Spanish at the University of Michigan. José has been dancing Argentine Tango for over a decade. José also has a background in martial arts and has found many connections between tango and martial arts. José also has a background in Theatre. He has performed in Shakespeare in the Arb for many years.
Sophia Daly
Sophia grew up in Plymouth, MI. She started dancing at the age of 3 when her dad signed her up for ballet lessons. Sophia has studied tap, jazz, ballet, modern, and hip hop dance. Sophia received her B.A. in Theatre from Hope College. After graduation, Sophia trained with a devised theatre company called Double Edge. Shortly after, Sophia discovered her passion for Argentine Tango. Sophia brings her training in various dance form together to create performances that are beautiful and engaging. Sophia is also a personal trainer and pole dance instructor.
